WHO WE ARE

REACHING THE DISCONNECTED AND GROWING THE CONNECTED

The very first word of our mission statement says it all. We desire to reach out to those in our community who don’t know Christ, not just sit and wait for the community to come to us. And once we have reached the disconnected, we desire to help them grow in faith and spiritual maturity so that they may join us in carrying out our mission.

We do this in three ways: Seeking, Sharing and Serving.

SEEKING GOD

In every aspect of our lives, we seek the living God – for guidance, for strength, for forgiveness, for love. We do this in worship, where we show our love for God through song and get to know Him through His word.

We also seek Him in our daily lives through devotion, prayer, praise, and thanksgiving. Seeking God is more than a mission. It’s our purpose in life. We pray you’ll join us in making it part of yours, too!

SHARING OUR LIVES

Christ never meant for us to go through life as “lone wolves.”

In the book of Luke, Jesus calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves. In other words, Christians should support one another, counsel each other, teach one another, and encourage one another in the faith.

We call this “sharing our lives,” and it’s the second way we carry out our mission at Crossroads.

SERVING GOD IN THE COMMUNITY OF NORWALK

The third leg of our mission is vital to our vision of being a community church. You might not realize it, but as many as 1 in 5 Norwalk residents live near or below the poverty line.

What is our response? God’s word is clear:

‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one
of the least of these brothers
and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
Matthew 25:40
